Resilience feels like:
Giving yourself a break.

Being realistic.

Asking for help.

Recognizing emotions.

Practicing self-care.

Nurturing meaning and purpose.

Finding balance.

Resilience doesn’t feel like:
Doing everything yourself.

Pervasive conflict.

Carrying a heavy burden.

Being alone.

Perfectionism

Always taking care of others.

Constant crisis.

Resiliency increases in safe, supportive environments.

Resiliency decreases in unsafe, unsupportive environments.

Resiliency depends upon our relationships.

No amount of rest, recovery, and reward allows you to build resiliency in toxic relationships and environments.

It’s difficult to practice resiliency without people you can rely upon for help and support.
